SpellBinders Small Die of the Month February 2023 – birthday card

There’s a part of me that really enjoys getting happy mail or deliveries. Amazon has sort of spoiled us over the years, as have the options to have groceries and other goods delivered. But there’s nothing like getting craft goodies! When I was active in sales for a stamp company, I learned to recognize the sound of the UPS truck coming down the street, much to my hubby’s amusement!

Last year, I decided to give a monthly product subscription a try. Spellbinders has some great options and I’m currently enjoying their “small die of the month” option. Each month, I’ve been wonderfully surprised by the kit – many pieces and in their beautiful distinctive style. The card I’m sharing with you today is one made using just a few of the dies that came in February. Check it out:

The hexagon pieces were cut from Neenah Desert Storm card. The flowers were cut from scraps of card and patterned paper. After everything was in place, I brushed the smallest flower with some shimmery Wink of Stella and topped it with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops for a hint of shine and dimension. Last, but never least, a few colored gems for a little more detail. The foiled sentiment was a left over from another project… so handy to have those on-hand!

Note: I’m not an affiliate for Spellbinders but I am SO enjoying this monthly treat. It’s really a great product for the price! My mother also enjoys making cards so I offered to treat her to a kit. She’s not into dies but LOVES the texture of embossing folders, so that’s the kit she wants to try. A great thing about their kits is that you decide it’s not for you, you can cancel at any time. If you would like to check it out, you can see the Spellbinders Kit options here.
