There are so many cute images out there for a stamper. They always catch my eye because they seem like they would be so fun to color! I’m thankful there are people in my life (young and old) who like receiving cute images, giving me another excuse to invest 😉 I recently purchased an adorable set from Penny Black with two such images. This sweet rabbit looks like just the little guy to bring a smile to someone’s day.

For the layout, I turned to a sketch over at Splitcoaststampers (below). I started with a messy watercolor wash in the background. Once that was dry, I added a circle of vellum and layered the fussy cut image over it using dimensional adhesive. I sandwiched a little embroidery thread in between those two layers and also added a few clear epoxy dots just for fun. I will probably always have to add extra postage because I always end up adding embellishments!

In case you are inspired by sketches as I am, here’s the one mentioned (and used) for today’s card:

Sorry for the fuzzy image! I copied it from the site and, unfortunately, this is what we get! Yikes! You might notice that I created a standard A2 card instead of a square card. Remember – you don’t have to create exactly what you see. Simply consider it inspiration – a starting point – for your own creative work.
Thanks for stopping by!
