Recently, I’ve noticed a few card-makers sharing something called “storybook coloring”. If you haven’t seen it or heard of it, it’s a softer style of coloring that allows more white space to show (usually along the edges) and provides an overall lighter feel. I thought I would give it a try with an image from the cuddlesome stamp set by Penny Black. The sweet bear and stack of tea cups provided lots of space to work with color.

In keeping with the softer look of the finished image, I layered the image over soft pastel patterned paper (Stampin’ UP!, from my stash). The layout is based on a sketch used previously HERE. While making it, I was thinking about a recent visit to see family and how nice it was to sit down with my cousin in the evening and just chat. She made a nice herbal blend for us, right from her garden – it was such a blessing!

Isn’t that bear just the cutest? heehee
Thank you for stopping by today! If you are curious about the stamp set used, I posted a card with the other image HERE. Enjoy!
