I recently purchased some great dies from Simon Says Stamp and decided to put them to use creating birthday cards. I started with colored card stock which had been run through my die cutting machine with a texture plate. I then cut multiple leaves and sentiments from white and specialty paper to create these special greetings.
The gold glitter paper sparkles so beautifully and doesn’t shed at all! Here I layered it over heavy white card and adhered with dimensional adhesive. This allowed room to tuck the stems and a leaf under in a couple of spots. For the blue card, I used silver foil over black card for a nice POP!
To finish, I added a few clear gems to the center of each paper punched-flower and a few over the buds/berries. These cards are for hand delivery, so I’ll be able to deliver them with the flowers fluffed and envelope intact. But if you wanted to mail something like this, you could mail them in a small bubble envelope to protect it.
Gorgeous! Love the texture behind the gorgeous greeting.
