Is there anything about you that reminds you of your parents? I’ve got a few (good and bad, lol) including my love of birds. My parents both love to look at birds and my mother, in particular, loves decor and images of them, as well. They’ve passed this love on to me and lately I seem to be obsessed with some of the beautiful dies that are available. Today, I’m sharing a card created using the Layered Songbird die by Simon Says Stamp.

Isn’t it pretty? So easy to put together and you can use whatever colors you want to add detail. Here, I had chosen the background paper first and used it as inspiration for the bird.

I nested the bird over a piece of embossed vellum and a circle of paper, then over this Fern Corner die (also by SSS). To finish the card, I added a layered die cut sentiment (also SSS), stamped sentiment and a few clear baubles. The card has a finished size of 5″ x 6″, so it will fit nicely in an envelope designed for 5″ x 7″ cards. However, for mailing it via the postal service, will need to go in a bubble envelope due to the baubles. But first… I’m going to look at it some more 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Gorgeous! I love birds and this one is so pretty.
