So if you receive any promotional info from stamping stores, you may have seen a lot of Christmas-related emails this week. Christmas in July was a recurring theme along with some pretty decent sales for previously released items. I’m resisting… I’m just not ready to think about Christmas and all it entails. But it did encourage me to think one season ahead and bring some of my autumn images out to play. Here’s one of those cards, created for this week’s sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

Isn’t this scarecrow adorable? I suppose he might keep the crows away but he does have one bluebird visiting!

For the rest of the card, I stamped a few of the leafy image repeatedly across the main panel. I knew I would be using the white strip across the panel, so it was okay to let the stamping overlap. After fully assembling the card, I dropped white enamel drops (scrapbook.com) just to add some playfulness and detail then set the panel aside to dry. I love this kind of embellishment because you don’t have to worry about it popping off or causing problems in the mail 🙂
Here’s the skech for this week, in case you would like to play along. If you do, I hope you will let me know so I can stop by and see your creation! Thanks for stopping by!
