Do you ever get the time to craft but find you just can’t put anything together? This happens to me sometimes, too. A friend suggested simply picking one thing to do – just cutting shapes, stamping out images or cutting card bases to get back in the groove. Sometimes, I simply sit down and color images for future use. It’s good practice and I find it so relaxing! Bonus – when it’s time to make a card, part of it is already ready to use!

This little cutie is from Winter Kisses (MFT Stamps). I created this card for a recent Virtual Stamp Night over at Splitcoaststampers. During VSN, new challenges pop up every hour and you have a one-hour time frame to create your project. Having images ready makes it so easy to participate!

This layout is also easy. (Are you sensing a theme here?) I cut a piece of patterned paper to cover the card base and a strip of white card 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ for the center. I added a little bit of detail to the center panel by lightly blending a bit of ink over a stencil and stamped the sentiment directly to the panel. The image was mounted just above with dimensional adhesive for a little added dimension. And that was it! Easily completed within the challenge time and ready to be mailed to someone for a little cold weather cheer up.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed seeing this and are looking forward to spending some time in your own craft space today 🙂
