Alright, stamping friends. We’ve made it to December and now it’s crunch time for getting those Christmas cards made! I confess I usually have mine done by now, but this year it just didn’t happen. I did sneak in some time to color so I was able to prepare images to use later. That little hack has been a time saver and has made it easier to put cards together now that they’re needed.
One of the cards made with these images was created using the current (at this time) challenge over at Fusion. (See it here.) I used their layout and some of the colors from the photo as inspiration and a starting point. The images are from Great Tidings (Stampin UP!), the same from my last blog post.

The sketch provided included three circles in the upper left corner. I flipped the layout then replaced two of the circles with the wise man/king plus the cluster of gifts. The third element is a circle cut from vellum; I added a heat embossed sentiment to help it stand out boldly. They are all layered over two pieces of coordinating patterned paper from my stash. I thought the subtle pattern was a nice change from white but without being too distracting. I hope you like it, too 🙂

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you are enjoying your holiday season and perhaps even finished with your cards already. If not, I have a few more posts scheduled for this week; perhaps something will inspire you!
