Pretty leaves, warming food and Christmas prep. They’ve been the focus of our attention for a few weeks now and, just like clockwork, my mind is rebelling! In the summertime, I always get the urge to make Christmas cards and in Christmas season, I always get the urge to make something other than Christmas cards! LOL

This adorable little gnome from Trinity Stamps is such a fun one to color! After coloring him with Copic markers, I added a few details with Prismacolor pencils then fussy cut the image right along the stamped outline. The color of the leaves and his green hat reminded me of this paper from my stash and that’s how the card starting to come together.

For my card, I made my background layer large enough to nearly cover the card base then used a layer of vellum for the horizontal band. I then added a die-cut circle from Pinkfresh Studios and adhered the gnome over it (left of center) with dimensional adhesive. To finish, I added details with mini tags, epoxy dots and a little bit of shiny silver thread.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this little break from autumn and winter 😉 And, as always, I hope you will visit the FMS team to check out their inspiration and perhaps play along.
This is adorable! I love seeing gnomes outside of Christmas! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
