Another year older? Advice from the heart: Just Roll with It!
The numbers are getting big, y’all. If anyone had asked me 20 years ago what I expected of my 50s I would have told you that I expected to feel like I had my act thoroughly together. You know… all grown up. Instead, here I am still trying to figure out quite a few things. In fact, there were things I thought I knew but it turns out – yeah, not so much. However, with these additional years comes a bit of wisdom that it doesn’t do much good to dwell on it. It’s best to simply acknowledge where I am (turn in over to God) and roll with it.
This fun little image is Just Roll With It by MFT Stamps. After stamping and coloring her with Copics, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the image then had a little fun with scraps of patterned and foil papers. I also added some additional detailing to her shirt and the balloons using a white gel pen. Later, I used additional patterned paper in a similar color to create an oversized envelope for the card. This way, I can insert a piece of stiff card stock or thin layer of bubble wrap to protect the card in the mail. All ready to encourage someone else to strap on her skates and just roll…
