Encouragement Greeting Card

The calendar is running out on this year, slowly making its way towards the holidays and the promise of a new year. While it remains hot and sunny in Florida, it can be fun to play with autumn images and pretend that cooler weather just might be on the way. Maybe… hopefully?

To create this card, I stamped Interlocking Leaves – a background stamp by Simon Says Stamp – onto watercolor paper and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. Once set, I used a small set of Lukas watercolors to color in the leaves in sections. The heat embossed lines help corral the watercolor, making it easy to add a variety of colors. Once the panel was dry, I splattered some of these same colors onto the upper right and lower left corners.

Trust in the LORD greeting card

To finish off the card, I die cut the word Lord out of silver foil paper (Stampin’ UP!), stamped the coordinating sentiment onto a scrap of white card stock and trimmed it with scissors. The little strip is adhered slightly over the word using dimensional adhesive. Finally, I added silver-threaded white string and a few drops of clear Nuvo drops to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my card! I hope you are enjoying your season, wherever you are 🙂
