Bee Yourself greeting card

I believe I’ve spent more time watching craft videos this week then actually crafting. That’s just not right! So to remedy the situation, I went to my favorite inspiration sites and came across this great challenge at Fusion.

So here you can see both a sketch and an inspiration photo for the challenge. I used both, choosing to start with the sketch and also incorporate yellow (lemons) and white (kitchen cabinets and counter) from the photo.

With yellow on my mind, I pulled out the Bee Yourself stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I had tucked a few leftover pieces from a honeycomb die cut in the storage envelope and decided to use those, as well.

The honeycomb pieces are attached to the card front using the sketch for placement. I went a bit off-sketch after this, adding the sentiment pieces and the bee with his path. To help balance out the design, I added the round confetti (Kat Scrappiness) which also adds some fun sparkle! I think this would be cute on a white card base, but went with this small polka-dot pattern for an extra something. Why not use all the toys while we are at it 😉

So that was my idea based on the challenge. How about you? To see more ideas and play along with your own creation, be sure to visit the Fusion site and link up!
