Today has been a day of errands and checking off small chores but this afternoon brought a bit of time to play with paper and ink. (And coffee… an afternoon cup is a thing of beauty!)
For the background, I used a homemade square stencil to protect my card layer and lightly blend on Mowed Lawn and Rustic Winderness Distress Oxide inks. I used a heavier hand towards the outer edges then lightened up towards the center. Next, I used a second stencil (with a lined pattern) and the remaining ink on the brush to add a little somthin’ to the square.
To finish – the main attraction, a die cut branch and this beautiful bird along with a simple greeting and a few clear enamel dots. The layout is based on this sketch at FMS, though I did move the sentiment up and away from the bird’s tail 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
