Fab Friday 212 – beautiful day in Versailles

Making this a quick post! I’m supposed to be getting ready for work but wanted to post this card created using the color challenge over at Fab Friday. (See it here.) This was a fun challenge, it really stretched me to see how to incorporate all four colors!

For my card, I die cut a frame and added some visual texture to the main card layer by using a die of mini triangles (Stitched Triangles, SU!) to create windows. This allowed the Soft Seafoam card base to show through and set the base for a tag focal point. You’ll see I used the other colors in the ink and cardstock on and under the tag.

It’s a very ‘clean and simple’ look which I seem to be drawn to lately. The little strips of TT cardstock and flamingo epoxy stickers add just a little bit of color to the overall design. Thanks FabFri team for the inspiration!

Thank you for stopping by! Now off to get ready…

  2. This is so cute! I really like that the greens are the more prominent color with the splash of pinks in the back! The tag is a great way to highlight the smaller tree! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
