Art Gallery – Birthday card

Are your cards for stampers different than the ones you make for others? I was working on a batch of cards for co-workers and realized one of the celebrants this month is into cardmaking, too. While others may or may not notice the details, I’m pretty sure she will so I wanted to make something a little extra. (Though I must admit that seems to be my favorite style lately.) While I was tempted to make something cute since she is a pre-school teacher, maybe a movement card?, I decided to make her something a little more grown up 🙂

Birthday greeting card, Stampin' Up! Art Gallery stamp set, created by Adriana at cupandink.wordpress.com
ink colors: Lost Lagoon and Just Jade

This multi-layer set (Art Gallery) is fun for simple stamping with multiple colors. I splurged and purchased the coordinating framelit dies for this set, making it easy to cut out the bouquet. I love that this one also cuts out the negative space between the flowers, allowing whatever you have behind it to show through. Silver thread and clear gems add a touch of glam and detail along with a die-cut label and curvy banner. I added a little more detail by including a front layer with wonky stitched detail and attached it all over a card base containing striped paper along the border. Lots of bits and pieces in this one to move the eye around. I hope she likes it!
