It was a beautiful, sunny weekend here in Florida. The ocean water was too cold for this wimp here, but I was amazed by how many brave souls were jumping in like it was no big deal. It was so fun to watch people of all ages laughing and enjoying themselves!
After we got home and tackled chores, I took some time to create a fun summertime card using the MFT Bring Out the Sunshine set. This cute little girl shares some sweet flowers along with a heartfelt greeting.
I started by lightly adding a pattern on the card-base using Lemon Chiffon ink and a stencil, then worked my way up layering ribbon, die-cut tags, and embellishments. Finally, the images were fussy-cut and adhered with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card front to keep the focus on our little girl and the details behind her. Overall, a simple design, but I just love how it turned out. Bright and cheerful, like a beautiful warm day!
