I’m a little obsessed with movement cards at the moment. I’m trying out all sorts of techniques, with one of the easiest using a set of dies from MFT Stamps. The dies are called Launch Party and make it possible to “launch” an element across your card. (The dies can also be used for slider cards.) Let me show you one example…

There’s a little pull tab on the bottom right of the card. When you pull the tab, out comes a surprise!

You can adjust your slider to only pull out “so far” thus controlling how far your surprise element travels. For this one, I wanted the hummingbird to hover over the flowers, but it could be adjusted for it to fly all the way over to the single flower if you wish. The hummingbirds who visit my mother’s garden dart in and out, so I thought the shorter distance would mimic how they behave. I think she’ll get a kick out of this!
For the best information regarding the Launch Die-namics and how a card like this comes together, check out this video (YouTube link) or the MFT site. Enjoy!
