I don’t know if you do this, but here we are starting the Christmas season and my mind is on other occasions! Between family and volunteers at work, I’m pretty much always in need of birthday cards. So when I saw this challenge at Fab Friday, I knew it was a great opportunity to play around with a fun image from YNS and add a card to my stash.
Isn’t this kangaroo adorable? So much fun to color and once fussy-cut, I just layered it over die cut pieces of cardstock, patterned paper and glimmer paper. (A great scrap-buster!) I added a couple of sequins and a few drops of clear nuvo for a little “something”. I just can’t seem to skip the something… If you need more Christmas cards, you could color the gifts to coordinate with some Christmas-themed patterned paper and voila – totally change the occasion!
Here’s a look at the sketch used to create this card. As you can see, I didn’t vary from it at all! To see more ideas and play along with the current challenge, just click here to be directed to the Fab site. I hope you have fun!
