Say “Hi!” greeting card

Hi all! So it’s almost Friday… can ya feel it? Oh yeah… I can feel it. (Said in my best Kronk imitation… lol)

Well, for those of you still working on getting through today, I’d like to share a sweet little hello card created using this week’s layout at Freshly Made Sketches. I’m not part of the team, but I have long loved their sketches and the inspiration the team provides. They’re often just what I need to get that happy Friday feeling going in the craftroom regardless of what day it is!

I used the large circle as inspiration for some ink blending then placed a fussy cut image where you see the smaller circle. I also added a small strip underneath for the sentiment.

Makeup brushes (often sold as blender brushes in craft stores) make it super easy to blend ink onto cardstock through a stencil. I used Circle Burst from MFT for the design in the background along with Peekabo Peach dye ink (Stampin’ Up!). The bicycle was colored with alcohol-based markers then fussy-cut and popped up on dimensional adhesive to keep it from being too flat. A few gems and voila – this fun little greeting is ready to go!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today and truly appreciate your visit. If you would like to see more ideas using the sketch or want to play along with FMS, click here to visit the Freshly Made Sketches blog.
